Salvador Gonzàlez
Born on the 21th of October 1948 in Camaguey (Cuba).
In 1960 he begins his artistic life and specialises in applied arts, easel and wall paintings.
He realised more than 20 collective exhibitions and 50 on his own, inside and outside of Cuba. For example he exhibited in Italy, Seychelles, Venezuela, Norway, Danmark, Mexico, United States (Vermont, Arizona, California and New Jersey).
He created 22 wall paintings around the world. there are 7 documentaries about the paintings in Hamel street, La Havana, Cuba(Callejón de Hamel). It is the first wall painting on public street dedicated to afro-cuban culture.
During his artistic life, he received 12 national and international prices .
« Soy así porque no le prendo una vela a dios y luego otra al diablo……Se la prendo al TIEMPO. » (I am the way I am because I don't light a candle for god and then one for the devel....I light it for the time.)
